This is the hardest tent I have ever put up!

Come along with me for a relaxing walk through spectacular native forest to the Leitchs Hut and Clearing. Stepping across numerous tiny streams and waterfalls, admire the extraordinary moss and fern in the forest and respect the old growth bush. Set up camp near the headwaters of the Awakino River in a beautiful valley with the sounds of bird song, the sound of the river and sounds of camping. Laugh with me as I struggle to put up the tent for the first time, it took ages to get it sorted! Finally, able to enjoy my green tea while relishing the peace, quiet and views.

Relax and unwind as we enjoy a beautiful day in the outdoors, set up camp in a beautiful valley surrounded by forest. Silent vlog retreat with ASMR camping and sounds of nature.

The Campsite: Leitch’s Hut, Leitch’s Clearing, Leitch’s Track, Whareorino Conservation Area, Waitomo, Waikato, New Zealand

The Leitch’s Hut and Clearing is situated in the Whareorino Conservation Area, a scenic reserve located in the Waipa District of the Waikato. There’s a boat ramp, water and and toilets.

Enjoy the relaxing sounds of camping in nature beside a beautiful lake with the relaxing sounds of birds in the trees. Fall asleep to the sounds of the birds singing in the trees above.
