Why call Sharon?

If you’ve found your way to this page, you’ve probably got plenty of unanswered questions and are looking for further information.

Sometimes it’s much easier to talk with a friend who’s been there and done that, well I’m that friend and while I don’t have the answers to life’s bigger challenges, I have been there and done a lot of stuff when it comes to solo and couple’s travel, hiking, camping, backpacking and bikepacking.

There’s a whole lot of other adventures I’ve successfully undertaken and that typically include getting outside and doing fun or crazy stuff that’s a little outside most people’s comfort zones.

While I love to answer questions through social media, due to the nature of my adventures, some messages can be overlooked and to be fair, most questions need more than a 160 character answer to do them justice.

When you book your call, you will have direct access to my time, experience and knowledge.

Save yourself truck loads of time and stress trying to figure everything out yourself

What’s the cost?

NZ $100 including GST for a 60 minute one-on-one live video call.

Hesitant?

I know what it’s like, I’ve been there too. When planning to hike 3,000 kilometres on Te Araroa Trail, I decided to figure everything out myself. It took me many months of late nights and included researching:

  • the entire 133 day itinerary - yes, it really did take me that long and what an epic adventure it was!

  • budgeting - where to even start !

  • gear - what do you need, are you an ultra light hiker or do you like a few creature comforts?

  • food strategy and drop offs - where, when and how much are you going to need? Pro Tip: Whittakers Chocolate is a must!

  • other transport - there’s a surprising number of other transport required such as ferries, canoes, bikes, water taxis, shuttles and possibly even airplanes

  • accommodation - are you camping, using DOC huts, private huts, hunters huts, trail angels, motels, cabins, friends or what?

  • permits - you’ll often be hiking across private land, have you thought about the necessary permission?

  • safety - are you travelling on your own? Have you considered how you’ll manage the river crossings?

That list barely scratches the surface and the same applies to all adventures!

My followers trust me

My followers trust what I say, and why wouldn’t they?!

I’ve built a solid relationship with the Freewheeling Kiwi community through sharing hundreds of hours of free video content that is known for its trademark authenticity. When I recommend something, they know that I’m recommending something I know and love myself. My adventure stories include the good, the bad and the ugly as I don’t want anyone heading out ill prepared.

Don’t just take my word for it, check out some of their comments here.

My brand partners trust me

As a content creator, I’ve built a strong presence online with a variety of formats that offer opportunities for brand integrations. My partners love my natural approach to creating unique content and are happy to have me represent them. That’s an enormous privilege and I work hard to make sure that both the brands and the Freewheeling Kiwi community are getting good value for their money and time.
